The Context

The programme is designed to ensure that participants: have a sound understanding of the foundations for effective financial management and relevant financial concepts further develop their skills in the use of financial information, and related sales, marketing and operational data, to take decisions; and to apply these financial assessment principles to clients and suppliers / sub-contractors where appropriate recognise the financial ‘levers of power’ … the key areas of focus for management of performance have broken through the financial jargon to ensure that finance is the ‘common language’ of both financial and non-financial managers are able to use a range of financial techniques to identify business strengths and areas for performance improvement. This intensive programme builds knowledge and skills which would take many years of ‘on the job’ evolution – it is the fast track to effective management of financial responsibilities and commercial decision taking.
